I am very concerned about the effect of Global climate change. There are a lot of people in the world and we are on the limit of growing enough food at the moment. If the climate changes this could have a dire effect on the amount of food we could grow somewhere.
A fusion reactor would reduce the amount of oil, coal and gas we burn to make electricity, so that would be really good for the environment.

I enjoy being an engineer and getting paid for it is nice too, but it’s still work at the end of the day.

I’ve got loads of other things that I would love to do much more often than I do – but I need to finance all of these things and my job is the only way I can do that for now.

      It’s a catch 22!

Most engineers make really important contributions to improving the world, whether it be through improving water supply, transport links, energy security, or just making a better light bulb, so I think engineering in general is important. But there are lots of other things in life that are important to different people and you shouldn’t let work take over those things.
