• Question: What programming language(s) do you usually use?

      I mostly use a package called Matlab. It lets you call functions that come inside the package so things like plotting graphs and repeating calculations in a loop is easier.

      Unfortunately, I don’t use any in my current job.

      When I was at university I studied C, Java and Assembly. I also studied VHDL, which is actually a language that describes logic circuits.

      Very Good Question Jay: I have used a host of languages, Fortran, PL1, BASIC of all sorts, and then in applications I use MathCAD, which I rather like; Excel spreadsheets that I am not fond of if the calculation is complicated (VBA yuck!) but is great for doing graphs and diagrams, and I am presently looking at a Rasberry Pi, which uses Python and i am temped to have a play with one of these (mainly for home use).
      So in my work the most useful is probably MathCAD 14.. Regards Robin
