      I do not care about winning as much as getting you thinking about engineering and considering doing it as a career if it appeals. That would be winning and the money would be a bit of a bonus!

      I didn’t sign up for this because I wanted to win, or because of the prize money – I signed for it becasue it was an opportunity to get involved in helping communicate engineering to young people like you and try and share the excitement of what we do. Our country needs engineers for the future to ensure technology is developed to safely generate and harness energy and to continue to improve quality of life for people all over the world. I think it is important to be able to show young people how they can choose engineering and make a difference to many people’s lives.
