• Question: how often do you go to coferences and show off your work

      At the moment I have been going every couple of years and have presented to the conference audience many times in my life. My present job is not one that inlcudes the chance to go to conferences which is a bit of a pity. Regards Robin

      I tend to go to one or two conferences each year and try to present my work at least once every one to two years, depending on what I’ve been working on and being able to make an interesting presentation about it.

      I have only been to one so far (last summer) but I will hopefully be going to another one later this year. If you work in a university doing research you are expected to present your work a few times a year and that could be presenting it to your department at the university and presenting at a couple of conferences too.
