@bucho98: The search for the Higgs Boson has been successful in that they now think they have seen indications that it really does exist. This is an atomic particle that last for only a few nanoseconds and then “becomes” the particles we are familiar with (protons, neutrons etc.) It has been nicknamed the God particle because it is fundamental in Physics, which is way beyond me. It will not threaten religion in any way as it explains “how” things happen but do not change the God ‘s “why” this happens. It will only expand our knowledge of our universe which should continue to fill us with awe about the world about us. Regards Robin.
