@FKGBSAMLUBBY621: Although it may not look like it, we have never built a machine with more ‘intelligence’ than an earthworm! Our clever robots are just TOMS, Totally Obedient Machines, except when they go wrong of course! I do not think there is a risk of intelligent machines taking over for a good while yet. However dangerous machines designed my clever men are a problem, such as those used in war, and we could easily be at risk of a disaster from this. The rate of development of electronics and computers is staggering, and although not in my lifetime, I think it will be in during the next century that we will have amazing machines the appear to be intelligent to us, but I think they will still be machines. regards Robin

i,Robot is a brilliant movie. But, the robots don’t go wrong. It’s actually V.I.K.I. – the behind-the-scenes super-computer, which controls them!

I don’t think we could ever create human-like artificial intelligence in a machine. We might get really close, but machines will always behave with logic and reason. They will never be able to recreate human emotions. The human brain is still the most powerful computer on Earth.
