• Question: Did you like all the interlocking and connections in metals or was it something else that drew you towards engineering?

      @livmasonpearson: I must admit to never being terribly taken by meccano or lego, and much preferered the innards of the lawn mower, or books, diagrams and photos on cars and car repairing. Car racing was interesting too but much less on TV than now. I enjoyed making things and made model aircraft, which I rarely flew, and ended up just making them and my brother flew them! Regards

      I was drawn towards engineering because I enjoyed maths and physics, but didn’t just want to be learning the theory. I wanted to be able to learn something and then apply it, which is what engineering is for me.
